CASE Study: AWSOM - A Medical School on a Mission

New medical schools are rare. A new medical school on a campus for art and wellness, that’s unprecedented. Explore the ways the Alice L. Walton School of Medicine Marketing & Communications team shared this unique moment with the world. Through traditional press, architectural highlights, and a social media firestorm, AWSOM is no stranger to the medical education landscape now.

CASE STUDY: Arkansas Children’s Northwest Turns Five

When Arkansas Children’s Northwest was set to turn five years old, it was imperative for the local community to understand the magnitude of its contribution to kids’ health in Northwest Arkansas and surrounding areas. ACNW’s unique history in a booming region saw a new hospital mature just in time to tackle an unprecedented pandemic with visionary leadership and dedicated staff.

CASE STUDY: OU-TU School of Community Medicine “boomtown. your town.”

When choosing where to study for medical school or residency, knowing the curriculum and rotation schedule isn’t enough. This is the community where students and residents learn to care for a community. This is the community that shapes them into the physician they will be. This is the community that impacts every community they’ll care for during their career. That’s why the fit has to be right. And that’s why we developed the “Our City” brochure and “The Impact of Community Medicine” video. We wanted prospective students and residents to know exactly what Tulsa had to offer and, more importantly, what the OU-TU School of Community Medicine offers Tulsa. That’s what’s at the heart and soul of a school that thinks bigger than a diagnosis and believes a medical school is for the good of an entire community.

CASE STUDY: reach for the stars

When I learned an Ed.D student of ours at OU-Tulsa had planned an all-day experience for her students at Mitchell Elementary, culminating at her graduation, I knew I had to get on that bus. What a day. What an inspiring story. And what a wonderful group of kids I was lucky enough to tag along with.
