For more than a decade, Aaron has worked to enhance marketing initiatives for higher education institutions in Northeast Oklahoma. He began his higher ed career at Northeastern State University, overseeing all video production for the univesity. While there, he also served as a mass communication instructor, teaching courses in production, writing, advertising, and documentary film-making as part of our Media Studies program in the College of Liberal Arts.

After NSU, he joined the external communications team at The University of Oklahoma-Tulsa where he led a creative team responsible for graphic design, photography, social media, web, video production, and agency relations for student recruitment, medical education, resident programs, research institutes, and development.

In 2020, he joined the Backwoods Adventure Mods team to build their market presence and increase its social media footprint. This emerging brand, based in Northwest Arkansas, provided the opportunity to collaborate with social influencers and brand ambassadors to build a lifestyle brand. While still assisting Backwoods’ social media efforts, Aaron currently serves as marketing director for the National Center for Wellness & Recovery in Tulsa, where he is getting marketing initiatives off the ground for a new research center created by Oklahoma State University.

After starting her career in higher education at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Liz returned to higher ed in 2020 as executive director of advancement and the NWACC Foundation at Northwest Arkansas Community College.

Liz spent nearly a decade at independent schools in Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas. As Director of Development for The New School in Fayetteville, she led and executed capital and annual fundraising efforts, managed special events and cultivated donor relations, while also managing the internal and external communication functions of the school. At Holland Hall in Tulsa, she oversaw all internal and external communication channels. Before making the jump to independent schools, she spent five years at NSU where she oversaw NSU’s media relations and marketing strategies.

She's also spent time at the American Heart Association, where she led a team of volunteers, staff and sponsors to execute Northwest Arkansas’ Heart Challenge events and community impact projects. And while at the Northwest Arkansas Children’s Shelter, she steered all development and volunteer activities; and managed marketing and communication initiatives.
